Wish List

The supplies are used to keep our animals fed, comfortable and entertained and the items listed below are always in demand.  You, your family, school, youth group or troop can conduct a drive to collect wish list items and bring them to the shelter. Monetary donations are also always welcome and will be put to good use. All donations can be dropped off during regular shelter hours.

Gift Cards

  • Grocery stores (we use these to purchased fruit and veggies for our rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and exotic animals!)
  • Wholesalers like BGA and Dunkley's (we use these to purchase cat and dog food, trash bags, papr towel, etc.)
  • Pet supply stores (preferably Noah's Ark for our small mammal and horse needs.)
  • Vet clinics (every cat and dog is spayed/nuetered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted, plus other medical needs such as skin conditions or dental needs etc.)

For the animals in our care:

  • Treadmills x 2 for the dogs to excersise when weather restricts them from being outside.
  • Tennis Balls - used or new - Lots of them!!

  • Interactive toys

    • Dogs – Kongs, Kong Bones – where you can hide a treat, a toy that makes them do something to be rewarded with a treat. Interactive toys that are rubber or plastic are great, as we can sanitize them.

    • Cats – plastic rings where there is a ball inside and they can push it around, a toy that makes them do something to be rewarded with a treat (open a compartment, push a ball along the floor etc).  Interactive toys that are rubber or plastic are great, as we can sanitize them.

Cleaning supplies:

  • Bleach
  • Clorox disinfecting wipes
  • Dish soap 
  • Dish cloths and dish towels
  • Laundry detergent HE
  • Spray bottles with triggers
  • Sponges and scrub pads
  • Paper towels
  • Lint  rollers
  • Ziplock bags (all sizes, especially gallon)

Other supplies needed:

  • Batteries (AA, AAA, D, and 9-volt)
  • Fabric scissors for education projects
  • Postage stamps 50c
  • Photocopier paper 8.5 x 11" and 8.5 x 14"
  • Long zip ties
  • Picnic table or outdoor table and chairs for volunteer and staff breaks
  • Washer and Dryer stackable
  • Step ladders

Items we CANNOT accept:

  • Animal Food that has already been opened
  • Hard or homemade dog treats
  • Toner cartridges
  • Old computers and equipment like mice, keyboards, CRT monitors, printers, and scanners
  • Medications and medical supplies, including syringes
  • Topical and oral pesticide products for dogs and cats, including flea and tick products
  • Flea sprays, powders, and foggers for the home
  • Used (already chewed on) dog treats and raw hides
  • Used litter boxes 
  • Confetti shredded paper
  • Old clothing (t-shirts, socks)
  • Comforters, pillows, pillow cases, and sheets       
  • Anything that is broken or missing pieces
