Walkers and their dogs are needed to take part in an annual event in the Botanical Gardens later this month to raise funds for the SPCA. Paws to the Park — which raised $30,000 for the animal charity last year — is from 12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 22.
SPCA vice president Rosalie Powell said: “Doing a charity walk is a fantastic way to support your favourite charity whilst getting active in the outdoors. Ideally, you need a canine companion for this special event but don’t despair if you can’t find a date – you’re still welcome to participate. Bring your two legged friends — the more people we have participating on the day the better.”
