Christmas trees have gone on display in a charity competition at a Hamilton shopping mall.
The nine trees, in the extension of the Washington Mall, were decorated by organisations set up to protect the environment and animals.
Each charity involved got $750 for taking part and a top prize of $3,250 will go to the winner, to be selected by a panel of judges.
The second-placed tree will win $1,250 and the third $1,000.
A prize of $1,750 is also up for grabs through a People’s Choice Award. To vote, visit Washington Mall before December 17.
The competition is sponsored by financial services firm Sun Life Financial.
