Meet Huckleberry — Professional Cuddle Bug, Chief Treat Inspector & The Goodest Boy You’ll Ever Meet! If you’re looking for a dog with a BIG heart, a gentle soul and enough personality to fill a whole house, allow us to introduce you to Huckleberry! Huckleberry is a wonderful pittie mix with the sweetest personality imaginable. He currently lives in a busy home with three children and has been an incredible part of our family. He’s easygoing, affectionate, playful and wonderfully gentle with little ones — including babies and toddlers. He’s so patient that our two-year-old can even walk him on his leash without him pulling! He has had extensive training with local dog experts and plenty of exposure to other dogs and people. He knows commands like *sit, stay, speak and sometimes paw*, plus a few other clever tricks. He has even enjoyed attending the Stanley Park doggie playgroups! But what makes Huckleberry truly special isn’t just how well-behaved he is. It’s his HEART. A few of Huckleberry’s favourite things: - 🛏️ Sleeping in his big sisters bed and being her snuggle buddy. - 💋 Giving enthusiastic kisses and cuddling up close to his favourite humans. - 🎾 Playing fetch and showing off his playful side. - 🦴 Sampling every gourmet dog treat known to mankind. Seriously, he’s an equal-opportunity treat enthusiast! - 🎵 Lounging inside, listening to doggy music and quietly supervising household activities from his favourite bed. - 🎃 Wearing the Halloween bandanas and Christmas sweaters his family insists make him look *incredibly handsome*. - 🏡 Keeping a watchful eye on his home. He has a big bark that makes him a reassuring little guardian, but underneath it all, he’s a big softie. - 🐔 Casually coexisting with the chickens in the back garden, completely unbothered by their presence. Huckleberry is a house dog through and through. He loves having the freedom to roam indoors, be part of family life and curl up wherever the cuddles are happening. He is not a dog who belongs in a crate or an outdoor cage. He needs a home where he can be loved, included and treated as a true member of the family. 💔 Why are we rehoming our beloved boy? This is the part that breaks our hearts. Due to a change in our housing situation, we have to move somewhere that doesn't allow pets. This is absolutely not a decision we've made lightly. Huckleberry is deeply loved, and finding him the right home is incredibly important to us. We aren't simply looking for someone to take a dog. We're looking for *his people* — a loving home that will appreciate his goofy personality, welcome his cuddles, indulge his love of treats and give him the safe, happy life he deserves. In return, you'll get a loyal companion, a gentle friend to your children, a fetch partner, a homebody, a professional snuggler and a dog who will make you laugh every single day. If his future family is comfortable with it, we'd also love to stay in touch and perhaps visit him occasionally with a treat or two.
