Throwback to last month when we were able to hold Throwback to last month when we were able to hold 2 amazing fundraising events, kindly sponsored by @bgabermuda, @helensawdenflowers @thetastingroombda. Both events were a huge success and enabled us to raise some much needed funds for the shelter, to enable us to continue to rehabilitate and find homes for the many animals which we see at the shelter every week. Thank you to everyone who supported us. Look out for some exciting events coming up later on in the year 💙
There is so much that goes on behind the scenes, t There is so much that goes on behind the scenes, today our team took part in a strategic planning session. It is really important for us to be able to plan for the future and identify our needs and expectations to ensure we are able to continue to deliver a valuable service to all corners of the community. 💙
No animal missed out, we carried out our planning session during our shelter animal nap time, aka lunchtime!
Wishing you all a very happy Mother’s Day! We we Wishing you all a very happy Mother’s Day! We are thrilled to announce that @davidrosestudio We are thrilled to announce that @davidrosestudio have kindly decided to support the SPCA by donating a % of funds received from these beautiful custom made pendants to us. Here’s why the “Zada Project” was formed:
“Before I was a mum to two beautiful human girls I was Dog mom to Zada, a Jack Russell X Pug who loved the water, her humans and was full of life till the day she crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past September at age 12.
Zada spent many days in our studio in St. Georges, and was head of security; a job she took very seriously.
In honor of our girl we created "The Zada Project" .
A % of sales from this pendant will go the SPCA”

The funds from this project will be allocated to our newly formed Dogsnip program which will enable members of the public to apply to the SPCA for assistance in spaying or neutering their dog. We hope this program will go some way in helping reduce the huge numbers of illegally and irresponsibly bred dogs we are currently seeing which in turn is putting the shelter under immense strain. 💙 to purchase your pendant, just in time for Mother’s Day please contact @davidrosestudio directly.
Cute aren’t they... but the reality is the SPCA Cute aren’t they... but the reality is the SPCA is reaching crisis point due to the unprecedented numbers of dogs and puppies we are seeing as a result of illegal and irresponsible breeding. Most of these dogs are restricted breeds and require government approval which includes having a fenced yard. Finding homes for these dogs is becoming increasingly difficult as the pool of potential families is getting smaller and smaller. Some families are only here for a short time, some come from countries where pit bulls are still a banned breed. Therefore families who are eligible to take these dogs in are getting harder and harder to find. Did you know it can cost over $1000 to have your dog spayed or neutered? In order to try and find a solution, the SPCA is launching a Dogsnip program which will allow members of the community to apply to us for help with spaying or neutering their dog. We cannot offer this program unless we have the funds to do so. Please help us be part of the solution. To donate to the Dogsnip fund please follow the link here and in our bio, quote “Dogsnip” in the notes. Thank you 💙 https://spca.bm/donate/
