On Saturday, October 11, 2014, The Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [SPCA] will host the SPCA Fun Fair & Expo.

This family and pet friendly expo is action-packed and full of activities for you and your pet, and is held at the Botanical Gardens in Paget from 10am – 4pm. Entry into the festival is free, but donations of animal food will be accepted at the entrance. There is a $4 parking fee.

Allison Williams, President of the SPCA, says “The Fun Fair & Expo offers a variety of pet focused activities and educational opportunities. Dogs and their handlers can come out and show off or just have fun trying something new. Cat enthusiast will love learning about all the different breeds in the Cat Show. There will also be a range of livestock animals in the Petting Area and animal demonstrations in the main ring.”

Additional activities on Saturday October 11 include the following:

White Elephant Sale: Each year, this massive rummage sale seems to grow, so come out and find some treasures. Donations to the sale can be made to the SPCA 32 Valley Rd Sep. 30 – Oct. 4 8:30am – 4pm

Dog Shows and Contests: The talent and best-of-show contests are always fan favorites. Bring your dog – $10 entry registration opens at 10am. 8 fun categories: Life of the Party, Best Roll Over, Best Walk, Best Paw Shake, Best Bark, Waggiest Tail, Best Ears, Best Kiss. Prizes donated by Noah’s Ark.

Pet Adoptions: In an average year, the SPCA finds homes for some 500 animals. Maybe your new family member will be waiting for you.

Raffle: This large raffle includes over 30 prizes from generous businesses like 2 nights at Fairmont Southampton, gold floor w/breakfast & dinner & massages; 2 nights at The Reefs w/breakfast, 1 night at Belmont Hills Newstead Belmont Hills w/golf and more.
