The SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward that leads to a conviction of a person or persons who put a puppy in a dumpster earlier this month.

The reward was at $500 but an anonymous donor doubled it.

An SPCA spokesperson described the female puppy as black and tan with a docked tail.

It was placed in a dumpster in Devonshire on or before the morning of April 10.

The spokesperson said: “If any member of the public has any information that could lead to a conviction in this matter they are encouraged to call the SPCA 24-hour emergency number, 737-1108 or they can make an anonymous report through our website, https://www.spca.bm/support-animal-welfare/report-animal-cruelty . The SPCA would like to thank the public for their concern in this matter.”
